Cordelia & Victor were the welcome committee with their happy barks.  Cordelia had a back end, spin issue. She could get around ok until the end but she liked to be held and carried more. Victor was not always a snuggly guy but he was the sweetest.

Stella was a 13 years old sweet girl who loves to snuggle. She was always very excited to see some one come through the door. She seems to like the other dog but also liked to keep to herself. We will miss her dearly.

Mr. Wilson was 14 years old. He was such a gentleman. He was the stoic type, calm and just happy to be seen. Mr. Wilson didn't walk well and had a very hard time getting up in his last days.

Rhody was 14 years old. His owner passed away. He needed some TLC, he was underweight and was having a hard time settling. We were happy to give him  a soft and safe place for his last days.

Mandy was a sweet senior St. Bernard - estimated between 7/8 years old.

This gentle giant fits right in with the other Old Dogs. She was slow moving and seems to have some  bad allergies. We did everything we could  to help her feel better, sadly  she had stomach cancer and left us to soon. We will never forget you Mandy.

Tumi short for Turmeric  was a 12 year old jolly soul. He always wanted your attention. He had some lumps and bumps. We loved talking him for walks and we are so happy we could give him a soft place to live out his golden years.

Scooter had so much love to give. He was a happy boy who loves his new dog friends, a lap to snuggle up on and the outdoor air. Even though he was riddled with cancer he made the best of each day with his bright personality

Barney the old hound dog ! We didn't know his age as he was a stray before he came to us.

His poor body had been through enough and he very clearly told us it was time. I’m just sorry we didn’t get to love him longer.

Zack was 10 years old . He lost his mom and came to us to live out his golden years. Sadly this bubbly, funny playful guy was slowing down and showing us that he was not happy anymore. His body and mind could not do the things he  used to enjoy.

Ginger snap, the nearly 14 year old Brittany spaniel. She can't see or hear very well but she sure loved her walks, and loved to  telling us that she would like to go on another one! We will miss this beautiful girl.

Buddy was a sweet old man, around 18 years old and surrendered for all the reasons we exist. He had been incredibly loved and still is, and we are honored to take over his care.

Akela was a 13 year old German Shepherd who was surrendered to us under very loving and sad circumstances. He was absolutely gorgeous and loved all his new roommates. He had horrible arthritis and cognitive issues. His body and mind failed him and we couldn't let his suffer.

Archie was the cutest poodle mix , he was  on the quieter side but he would  try to play with the other dogs and he loved to snuggle on the couch with you. He had a few masses that started to effect him inside. We will miss his very much.

Theona (15) Charlie (14) sweet senior  Dachshunds

Theona and Charlie went to the vet today. Unfortunately Charlie has a very large mass on his spleen that is pushing on his lungs and making it hard to breathe. Theona has lost weight despite eating a lot, her blood was a mess. The are so bonded and we didn't want them to suffer, so we said goodbye to them together.

Driftwood was  7.5 year old St. Bernard.  He was a whopping 220lbs and very very sweet.

Driftwood was surrendered to us by his family when his human passed away.

Sadly we lost Driftwood peace while he was sleeping. we Could tell that he was not in great shape and we had an appointment set up for him the next day. We were devastated but we are happy we had the chance to meet him.
