No, they are not old dogs....but they are senior/hospice animals who needed a soft place to land.
We would like to introduce you to the Old Dog Farm Crew!
These Old Livestock rescue animals live along side our resident farm animals to give them company and peace in their final time. We are over joyed to welcome all animals in need and watch our OLD family grow. These animals receive the same love and care as the Old Dogs.
All the medical and comfort they need until they pass on is paid for by Old Dogs Go To Helen. While they are with us they undergo any treatments, diagnosis work, surgeries, and more to meet their needs.
All donations go towards ALL the senior or hospice animals in our care
He is a 25 year old Percheron mix who needed a soft place to land with nothing expected of him. He will get all the TLC he deserves. We are over joyed to have him here and can't wait to learn more about him with time.
These two rescue Rouen ducks
came to the sanctuary separately
but have fallen in love with each other.
You will see them waddling around the farm together and making sure all the chickens are behaving.
This little senior loves to lay around the house. She has a lot of old age medical issues going on. We will keep her comfortable for as long as she is with us.
Francis lived his whole life on one property and when his owners moved they left him behind. He’s an old man but so sweet and once we get his tusks and hooves trimmed we’ll start integrating with the rest of the pigs.
Moxie is a senior cockatoo
who came from the SPCA
He has a broken leg from a past injury.
This sweet old man can now rest easy.
Nutmeg is a sweet girl, who we don't know much about yet. She was abandoned and needed a safe place to go. We are happy she is here.
Nutmeg will have a visit from the vet
this week.
Charlie was a 26 year old horse
from NHSPCA who came in
starved and neglected.
Charlie was a very special boy and
the beginning of our senior/hospice
Farm Crew.
He may have been deaf and mostly blind, old, arthritic and stiff, but he had a
heart as big as the sky.
Dolly was around 12 years old. She was blind but got around ok with the help of her new family of goats and a baby cow. She had a sweet gentle soul and was just happy relaxing in a quiet corner on the farm.
Geronimo - fondly known as “Moe” to our ODGTH family. He was 28 years old and was once a wild mustang. He was pulled from the Goshute Valley at 3 years old. Moe was as sweet as he was beautiful and we will miss him.
This girl has experienced a lot in her life. She needed some serious TLC and we were happy to spoil her rotten. She lived out her days enjoying what it meant to be a pig.
